Summary

The Department of Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs (Area Office, Illawarra and Australian Capital Territory) was established on 11 March 1996, with the renaming of the Department of Employment, Education and Training (Area Office, Illawarra and Australian Capital Territory) (1994-1996). The Office was responsible for carrying out relating to the following broad areas: education, employment and training. The Office was abolished on 30 April 1998, following a series of administrative changes that led to the dissolution of all Area Offices, and its functions were transferred to the Department of Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs (State Office , New South Wales).
