Summary
The Tasmanian Qualifications Authority was established on 1 January 2004 under the Tasmanian Qualifications Authority Act no 62 2003, replacing the Tasmanian Secondary Assessment Board (1995-2003). The Authority is responsible for carrying out functions relating to the following broad areas (current as of December 2014): assessment, certification, issuance and accreditation of qualifications.
