Summary
The Curriculum Corporation of Australia was established on 1 January 1989, drawing together functions previously exercised by the Curriculum Development Centre (1975-1982). The Curriculum Corporation was responsible for carrying out the following functions: "to devise and develop, and to promote and assist in the devising and development of school curricula and school educational materials; to undertake, promote and assist in research into matters related to school curricula and school educational materials; to collect, assess and disseminate, and to promote and assist in the collection, assessment and dissemination of information relating to school curricula and school educational materials; to make available or supply school curricula and school educational materials." The Curriculum Corporation was merged with Education.au on 1 March 2010, and was renamed Education Services Australia.
