Summary
The Victorian Board of Studies was created in 1993 under the Board of Studies Act 1993, replacing the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Board (1986-1993)."The Board was responsible for curriculum development and evaluation of courses from Prep to Year 12. It also accredited courses and was responsible for assessment policy from Prep to Year 12… [along with] administer[ing] programs leading to the assessment and certification of the Victorian Certificate of Education for Years 11-12." The Victorian Board of Studies was abolished in 2002 and was replaced by the Curriculum Assessment Authority.
