Summary
The Board of Secondary Education (Western Australia) was established on 1 January 1970 under the Education Act Amendment Act 1969. The Board was responsible for carrying out the following functions: "approve courses of study for secondary schools and ensure the comparability of assessments of students." The Board was abolished 1 January 1985 under the Secondary Education Authority Act 1984, and was replaced by the Secondary Education Authority.
